Directed By: Nicolette Hashey
Running Time: 4min
This videos takes an informative look at the raw reactions of citizens in 2013, being introduced to the concept of 3D printing clothing. Some make predictions about the cultural changes the technology will cause, and others sit back and allow the technology to wash over them, seemingly boiled in it already.
Citizens in 2025 talk about their experiences printing clothes.
It’s the year 2037 and video blogger Kendall Kirchner-Macri discovers what
shopping used to be like back in the day and compares it to how shopping is in 2037
with her 3D printer. In a first person, webcam video format, she talks to her
“viewers” and brings up her own ideas on past and present shopping experiences as
well as her grandmothers. Shopping has been totally changed and the past now
seems strange and time consuming whereas today shopping has become instant
and convenient or so says the teenagers of America in 2037. How do YOU feel
about this change?
